Share markets in India fell sharply in the afternoon session dragged lower by banking stocks.
Shares of Yes Bank crashed over 22% after promoters informed that they have sold another 2.2% in the bank.
The BSE Sensex is trading down by 690 points, down 1.8%, while the NSE Nifty is trading down by 166 points.
Shares of Yes Bank crashed 20% while IndusInd Bank and SBI plunged over 6%.
On the sectoral front, losses were largely seen in the realty sector, telecom sector, and banking sector.
