Share markets in India quickly erased opening losses and gained sharply despite weakness in most global markets.
The BSE Sensex is trading up by 564 points and Nifty is trading up by 180 points.
Among individual stocks, Hindustan Unilever and Sun Pharma were the top Sensex gainers. Besides, M&M, HDFC, and Asian Paints were all up over 3% each.
Among sectoral indices, realty stocks, FMCG stocks and oil & gas stocks are witnessing maximum buying interest.
In the broader market, the BSE MidCap index and SmallCap index were both up 3.2%.
